Senior Architect and Project Manager

Location: Dickinson, ND

With a legacy of innovative projects and a vision for a sustainable future, we are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Architect/Project Manager to join our team in our Bismarck, Minot, Williston, or Dickinson, ND office.

This position will be an integral part of our team, collaborating closely with architects, engineers, and other design experts to create functional, beautiful, spaces that transform communities and enhance lives.

As a Senior Architect/Project Manager at EAPC, you will:

  • Serve as the single source of accountability for assigned projects
  • Develop design concepts and solutions in SD and DD phases, and following through with design team on continuity of design through construction documents
  • Ensure project is meeting/adhering to the needs of the client
  • Monitor project cost to budget during course of the work and forecast potential over-budget issues before project completion
  • Monitor project schedules against percent completion and manage adherence
  • Attend, facilitate and manage progress of project meetings
  • Development and maintenance of internally developed project management forms and/or checklists
  • Project specific QAQC and coordination with the QAQC team efforts
  • Collaborate effectively with all disciplines in advance of schedule
  • Post-project team review
  • Performance concerns of individual team members of other disciplines will be communicated to and addressed by their respective Department Manager or Lead
  • Regularly monitor client satisfaction
  • Regularly communicate with project owner, team members and other project stakeholders
  • Schedule warranty follow-up with owner to manage any post completion concerns
  • Coordinate and manage of consultant contracts and deliverables
  • Collaborate with BOD/Partners in evaluation of project requirements to negotiate an acceptable owner-architect agreement including the fee and time schedule
  • Utilize expertise on project scope, profitability, schedule, and budget
  • Negotiate solutions on project issues with design team and owner
  • Assist with preparation of client billings
  • Collaborate with Sector Leaders in the business development of projects including proposals and possible participation in client interviews

To join us, you should have:

  • Professional Degree in Architecture; B. Arch or M. Arch
  • AIA Licensure required
  • 10+ years of project experience in a consulting or firm environment preferred; will consider all levels of experience
  • Experience with software including Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup preferred
  • Organizational skill and ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective member or multidisciplinary team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to listen to the needs of team members and clients and turn into action
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment, computer, plotters, phones
  • Ability to travel to off-site projects and offices
  • Must Possess Valid Driver’s license
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.

This position will report directly to the Western Region Office Manager and will work as an integrated member of a multi-discipline, in-house team of engineers, architects, designers, and BIM Modelers.
